| General News: Ashe aims for the top. |
 Following a demanding selection process involving young archers from all over Great Britain 14 year Ashe Morgan, Cheltenham Archer Junior Cub member, is now receiving coaching under Archery GB’s Talent Identification Scheme (TID). Coaching, which takes place at the National Sports Centre, Lilleshall, is on a one to one basis and is under the personal direction of Archery GB’s Head Coach, Peter Suk.
Ashe has already attended two coaching sessions with a further one planned for 13th December. Further coaching session will take place on a regular basis.
Ashe has had to train extremely hard to reach this level. His training programme encompasses the three core elements required to become a successful archer: shooting, mental exercises and strength and conditioning. With careful time management he ensures his archery does not interfere with his education.
The Talent Identification Scheme is the entry point for Archery GB’s World Class Podium Programme. Archers who continue to reach the necessary standard can progress through GB Junior Squad, Development Squad and ultimately Podium Squad. Podium Squad comprises those top archers who are considered to have Gold Medal potential. The Archers who represent GB at the Olympics are selected from this squad.
Ashe is to be congratulated on achieving this level which requires an immense amount of dedication and commitment. He has received tremendous support from his family.

| General News: Ashe Morgan ranked 2nd in the GNAS U16s |
The UK Junior Rankings have just
been released on the Archery GB Website. In the Recurve Junior Men section Ashe
Morgan is ranked 5th Overall, 2nd in the GNAS Under 16
Category and 2nd in the Fita Cadet
Division.
This is a splendid achievement by
Ashe and an exemplary example as to what can be achieved by commitment,
determination and hard work. Congratulations from all at the club.

| Club Tournaments: Final Bow Meeting Results |
 The club would like to congratulate Ashe Morgan once again for the club record, county record, and also
a regional and national junior record level score at the final bow meeting in September, unfortunately he can't claim the regional and national records as it
wasn't an open tournament.

| Beginners: Beginner's Course Revision |
The beginner's course due to start on the 5th of January has been revised and will not commence the 2nd of February 2009 previous entries are still valid and we apologise for any inconvenience caused, the change is to compensate for closures at the school and are out of our control.
